The Volunteer Sailor

The Volunteer Sailor is a blog primarily dedicated to communicating the experiences, thoughts, and opinions of Bobby Sass, a Navy Reservist recalled to active duty in the Middle East to support the ongoing Global War on Terror. Bobby is a Christian, a husband to an extremely talented and beautiful web designer, and a father of an active and precocious four year old girl. In his civilian life he is actively involved in the community of Oak Ridge, TN with a financial advisory practice at Edward Jones. Bobby joined the Navy in 1996, and has nearly ten years of active duty experience. Formerly an Electronics Technician First Class, Bobby is now a Lieutenant serving with the Navy Expeditionary Logistic Support Group.
